Merry Christmas 2010

Whew, this has been a busy year for the Harrison Family!

In January David awoke to "Happy Birthday!” pause, pause “I'm in Labor!" We celebrated his 35th birthday in the hospital welcoming our third child, Sophia Faith Harrison. It was a special day celebrating the birth of Sophia and having her born on her daddy's birthday.

What a joy it was meeting her and having her become a part of our little family. She is such a happy baby. Her smile can light the darkest place.

Miles and Hope have adjusted so well to the new baby. They are both so loving and protective of their little sister. It blesses me to watch them interact and grow together. These times are priceless. David and I share in the love and joy our children bring to us.

David and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. We had a long weekend get a way. It was a wonderful time of rest and relaxing with one another. Focusing on each other without the interruptions of the babies is something I look forward to every year.

Miles had his 4th birthday this year. For his birthday he went to work with his daddy. Words cannot describe how happy he was to go with his daddy to work. He had been looking forward to that for two years. He is growing up so quickly. He loves to pretend to be a super hero or animal. I never know from day to day what he will be or what he will want me to call him.

Hope turned 3. WOW! Our little girl is really growing. She loves to play dress up and carry Lamby everywhere. She also loves to take her brothers toys. She is such a little servant. She always helps me put the dishes a way and pick up the house. She is a sweet and loving little girl.

We had our week long family trip to the beach. Miles and Hope love the sand and waves. They ask if we are going to the beach every day. Sophia enjoyed eating the sand! YUK.

David was so gracious to allow me to enjoy a weekend away with the girls. A weekend away with friends refreshes a mom. It was wonderful!

David is still working at TIAA-CREF. He enjoys helping people with finances. I'm working part-time at CMC as a nurse. I am thankful I can help those who are sick and weary.

We are anticipating the New Year and what the Lord has in store for our family. I know it will be good!

1 Corinthians 2:9

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful Year!

Love,
David, Penny, Miles, Hope and Sophia

JOY

I am loving this season of my life. I am counting my blessings day by day.

Baby Sophia is 10 months and exploring everything. She crawls over the air conditioning vents and lets the air hit her right in the face. She giggles and her smile will light up the darkest room.

Miles is growing rapidly. I never know who he will be from day to day. Today he was carrying his dinosaur Rex around. He puts him neatly on the couch and covers him up so he won't get cold. He even carried him into the bathroom. Yep, his little buddy.

Hope is loving all of her princess dresses, shoes and hat's. She has a sweater that fit's her Lamby. So stinking cute! She bat's her eyes at daddy and he is immediately at her service. She has the sweetest voice in the world.

David is his silly self. Chasing the children around and picking on me. Always joking!  He is a wonderful Husband and Father. He cares about people and their needs.

Yes, I am totally in love with my Husband and Children. Yes, I am totally in love with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. With out the Three, I would not have this wonderful blessing.
MY Little FAMILY!

And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced. The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away.
Nehemiah 12:43

Hope (Expectation, Belief, Faith) All about our Hopey!

God blessed us with our little Hope. She is 3 years old and courageous! She is all about Purple and Pink! If it's Purple or Pink then, It belongs to Hope! She loves to play with her brother whatever he is doing Hope is right there with him. She loves to take care of  us, bringing us whatever we need. She is a people pleaser. She loves her lamby, blankie and puppy. She is a beautiful little girl who is very polite and kind. She has a good heart. Sweet and tender. She loves to have her toe nails painted and wear her jewelry. She loves to be a princess. She is easy. She is content. She is Hopeful!

When we were deciding on her name, God gave me a verse in Hebrews 11:1 niv

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

This verse would come to my mind and I began to think about day and night. It never left me. See, I love the name Faith. But, anytime I would think of calling the baby Faith, God would put Hope in my heat.  I'm so excited to see all God has for Hope. I know He is faithful and He is good!
Daddy and I love our little Hope-a-lop.

Miles ( Forgiving, Distance, Soldier) All About Our Boy!

My Miles!!!
He is 4years old and so eager to learn! He is always in costume. I never know who he will be from day to day. Buzz Lightyear, Bumble Bee Transformer or Super-Man. It amazes me what he says and how his precious little mind works. He loves to do the right thing and do it well. He is very competative.  His laugh is contagious! He speaks from his heart. He loves to look at books ask  me "Mommy is Jesus in this book?". I love watching him cut grass with his daddy. It melts my heat to see him trail behind David with his play tools as David works around the house.

He never forgets!!! He is always reminding me of things we did a very long time ago. His mawmaw believes he has a photo graphic memory. HA!  He is a wonderful Big Brother. He always looks after his sister's and makes sure they are happy and safe.

Today he ask me, "Mommy how did Sophia get into your belly?" "Did you eat her?" It was out of no where and so precious! My response, God gave her to us. Babies are a mircle. God blessed us with little Sophia. Thankfully he didn't ask me how babies come out. Miles stole my heart when he was born and I'm so thankful God blessed us with him. I am so excited about his furture.  Counting my blessings and Miles is one...

pslam 1 1:3
Blessed is the Man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yelds its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.......

Oh how we love our little Miles.

Beach Trip 8/2010

Sophia Faith had her first trip to the beach. She was such a brave explorer! She loved eating sand and splashing in the water. Her sister Hope also loved playing in the sand and chasing, well screaming at the birds. Her brother Miles was a water bug! He never left the waves! Jumping a splashing around. Watching him grow and remembering his fist time at the beach is a little bitter sweet to me. My baby boy is growing up so fast.
It was a great time for all of us to be together. David and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful dinner at Bonefish Grill....my fav! Then, a beautiful walk on the beach. We look forward to returning next year.
